City of Sac City is Seeking Aquatic Center Concession Workers

City of Sac City is now taking applications for concession workers for the Sac City Aquatic Center for the 2010 summer months. Holiday and weekend work required. Salary range will be based on experience and education (proposed range starts at $6.50). Applications, job description, and minimum qualifications are available at the city office, 302 East Main Street, Sac City, Iowa. Consideration is continuous until all necessary positions are filled.     Isn't the minimum wage $7.25 now? How can they pay only $6.50?

    There are many exceptions to the minimum wage laws, including people under 20. You can read more here, http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/wages/minimumwage.htm.
