On December 14, 2009 the Sac City Council held a public hearing regarding the vacation and possible sale of lots 1 through 3 and lots 4 through 6 of block 35, Platt's addition in Sac City Iowa. These lots are an alley located between two properties owned by the Mckeever family.
According to previous conversations with both the Planning and Zoning Bord, and the Sac City Council, the McKeevers intend to purchase the alley from the city so that the block is one continuous property.
At the January 11, 2010 reading of this ordinance, no new input was reported.
On January 11, 2010 the third reading of the ordinance authorizing the vacation and sale of the property was passed, (see ordinance 2009-218 below). the City is taking bids for sale of the vacated property.
